NUMBER – MTN-ITECD007 / CVs SHOULD BE SAVED IN APPLICANT’S NAME Position: Engineer, Cloud Delivery Level: MTN Level 2 Division: Information Technology Department: IT Infrastructure & Cloud Location: Accra Reports to: Manager, Cloud Delivery Job Summary: •The Engineer, Cloud Delivery is responsible for the implementation, operation, and continuous optimization of the organisation’s cloud platforms (public, private, and hybrid). •The role ensures reliable service delivery, system performance, availability, and security through effective provisioning, monitoring, automation, and incident management. Job Context •Technology and Platform business •Multi-regulation and multifaceted stakeholder management •Public Listed Organization •Environmental, Social and Governance prioritized •Innovation Driven Industry •Global technology trends and advancements •Global & MTN Group approved IT Standards and Practices •Diverse cultural environment •Regionalization structure implication •Performance driven environment •Agile way of working Job Role •Provision and configure cloud infrastructure (VMs, storage, networking, containers) •Deploy workload across public, private, and hybrid environments •Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools •Support onboarding of applications into cloud platforms •Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, and reliability •Perform routine maintenance (patching, upgrades, backups) •Manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution •Ensure adherence to defined SLAs and OLAs •Develop and maintain automation scripts and pipelines •Support CI/CD integration for application deployment •Improve operational efficiency through automation and orchestration •Reduce manual interventions and human error •Monitor resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage, network) •Execute scaling actions based on defined thresholds •Provide feedback to Infrastructure Planning on usage trends •Support the Implementation of cloud security controls (IAM, network security, encryption) •Ensure compliance with security policies and standards •Support vulnerability remediation and patch management •Participate in audits and compliance checks •Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues •Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement fixes •Participate in major incident response and recovery •Maintain incident documentation and knowledge base •Perform related duties assigned by line manager. Qualification Required & Experience Education •Minimum of a University Degree in Computer Science/Engineering •Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT5, PRINCE2/PMP, Cloud Certifications (Azure/AWS), security fundamentals) •Experience Minimum of 3 years’ 3 years in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps or relevant field of study. •Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). •Experience in infrastructure operations and support. •Experience in telecoms/regulated environments and multi?stakeholder delivery models is advantageous.
