The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE strategies, promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance. Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 3 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Accra & Tema Region, Ghana Job descriptions & requirements Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and management systems. Ensure compliance with Ghanaian occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company standards. Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards. Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Organize and deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors. Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation initiatives. Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, evacuation drills, and business continuity procedures. Maintain HSE documentation, records, and regulatory reports. Advise management on HSE risks and recommend practical solutions to improve workplace safety. Foster a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field. Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent is highly desirable. Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing, agribusiness, FMCG, logistics, or an industrial environment. Demonstrated experience implementing HSE management systems and ensuring regulatory compliance. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices. Excellent risk assessment and incident investigation skills. Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence and promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization. Strong report writing and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
