Responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations.
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- Payroll & Taxation
- Prepare and process monthly payroll for all staff.
- Calculate and remit statutory deductions (PAYE, SSNIT, Tier 2, Tier 3, etc.) on time.
- File VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax returns accurately within deadlines.
- Maintain employee payroll records and respond to staff payroll queries.
- Logistics & Cost Control
- Track logistics-related expenses (transport, freight, clearing, warehousing).
- Reconcile logistics invoices and ensure accurate cost allocation to shipments.
- Support the logistics team with financial documentation for exports and imports.
- Provide cost analysis reports to management for decision-making.
- Administrative Support
- Maintain proper filing of financial records and contracts.
- Assist management with budgeting and cash flow planning.
- Support procurement and vendor payment processes.
- Provide timely financial data to the Group HQ and other subsidiaries.
- Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification such as ACCA, ICA, or CIMA is an advantage).
