Job Description
The Audit Manager provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, governance, and compliance within the GLICO Group and GLICO General. The role involves overseeing risk-based audits and supporting the Group Head, Internal Controls and Compliance in strengthening the audit function according to Group policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
- Audit Planning & Risk Assessment:
- Support annual risk-based audit plans and conduct comprehensive risk assessments of business units to prioritize high-risk areas.
- Audit Execution:
- Supervise audit assignments from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with professional standards (IIA) and documenting control weaknesses or fraud risks.
- Reporting & Follow-Up:
- Prepare high-quality audit reports for Senior Management and the Audit Committee; monitor and validate the implementation of corrective measures.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with External Auditors and Regulators (NIC) while providing advisory support to management on risk and governance without compromising independence.
- People Management:
- Mentor and coach audit officers, identifying training needs to build a high-performing team.
- Compliance & Innovation:
- Ensure compliance with statutory
Requirements

- Knowledge /Skills /Abilities / Competencies
- Excellent investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to coach, manage teams and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
- High level of objectivity and professional judgement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit/data analytics software.
- Education/ Training /
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit or Risk Management.
- Professional certification such as ICA, ACCA, or CISA is mandatory.
- 5-7 years in auditing with at least 3 years in a management role, preferably within insurance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Insurance operations, NIC regulations, IFRS, and risk-based audit methodologies.
