About the Role
WeWrite Africa is looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients and partners, and contributing directly to the growth and revenue of the company.

Responsibilities
- 1. Business Development
- Identify and research potential clients, partners, sponsors, and business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and generate revenue.
- Conduct outreach through calls, emails, social media, networking, and other relevant channels.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- 2. Client Acquisition & Sales
- Present WeWrite Africa’s services and solutions to prospective clients.
- Understand client needs and recommend suitable services.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations where required.
- Follow up consistently with leads and prospects to convert opportunities into clients.
- 3. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales process.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and long-term partnerships.
- 4. Partnerships & Opportunities
- Research and pursue strategic partnerships, sponsorships, collaborations, and other growth opportunities.
- Attend relevant networking events and represent WeWrite Africa professionally.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities that could benefit the company.
- 5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, meetings, proposals, and conversions.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities and results.
- Track progress against agreed targets and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a related field.
