- About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced and compassionate
- Cardiologist
- with at least 7 years of clinical practice to deliver member-centred cardiovascular care across our clinics. You will ensure safe medical practices, member satisfaction, and contribute to operational efficiency and innovation.
- Key
Responsibilities
- Cardiac Care:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage cardiovascular diseases including hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and ischemic heart disease.
- Member Assessment:
- Conduct thorough cardiovascular examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (ECG, echocardiograms, stress tests), and develop treatment plans.
- Medication Oversight:
- Prescribe and monitor cardiac medications, ensuring safe administration and adherence.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with nurses, general practitioners, and other specialists to ensure optimal member outcomes.
Education
- & Counseling:
- Provide preventive cardiology guidance, lifestyle counseling, and health
- to members and families.
- Accurate Records:
- Maintain complete and precise member records in electronic health systems.
- Safe Environment:
- Promote a safe and positive environment for members and staff.
- WOW Service:
- Go above and beyond to serve members, prospective or existing.
- Outreach & Enrollment:
- Support outreach activities and member enrollment initiatives.
- Leadership:
- Mentor junior clinicians and contribute to continuous improvement in clinical operations.
- Qualifications
- MBChB or equivalent medical degree, with specialization in Cardiology
- Current and valid license with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council
- Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification cardiology practice
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular healthcare systems, insurance benefits, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and healthcare providers
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, cloud applications, and research tools
- Passion for delivering exceptional member care and improving cardiovascular health outcomes
