Role Details

About the Role

MSI Reproductive Choices Ghana (MSI Ghana) is recruiting a Centres Marketing Manager based in Accra, with regular travel to its Centres in Tema, Kumasi (Santasi) and Takoradi. The role sits in the Operations & Commercial department and reports to the Director of Commercial Operations. It is offered as a full-time, two-year renewable contract with a six-month probation period, a 30-day notice period, and a target start date of 19 October or earlier. The Centres Marketing Manager carries budget responsibility for the Centres marketing and demand-generation budget (in line with the annual Business Plan), is client-facing by design - covering client insight, client

and community-facing activity - and will line-manage Marketing Officer(s) and a Digital/Content Officer (roles to be confirmed), alongside functional oversight of agency and vendor teams.

MSI Ghana runs a network of 8 Centres across Accra, Tema, Kumasi (Santasi) and Takoradi, delivering sexual and reproductive healthcare to help women and their families throughout their lives. This role exists to build awareness and a positive perception of the MSI Ghana brand, and to grow client footfall, service uptake and service income across the Centres channel through insight-led marketing and by sharing genuine client experiences. It blends core commercial marketing - brand management, integrated campaign planning, digital and media, content and collateral, agency management and performance measurement - with Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) that tackles the knowledge, attitude and social barriers keeping women, men and young people from SRHR services. Every activity is expected to be evidence-based, targeted at key demographics including youth and underserved communities, and tied to measurable service uptake. The role works closely with the Centres Channel Lead, the Contact Centre Manager, the Medical Director, the Head of Social Marketing and Finance to keep demand generation aligned with service-delivery capacity and the client journey.

In short, the job is to build and deliver MSI Ghana's Centres marketing strategy - bringing together brand, demand generation, digital and SBCC - so that client volumes, service mix and service income across all 8 Centres grow in line with Business Plan targets, while protecting the MSI brand and keeping the client

consistently excellent from first contact through to service delivery.

Key

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Health or a related field; a master's degree (MBA, Marketing, Communications, Public Health or Development Communication) is an added advantage, as is a professional marketing qualification (CIM, CIMG or equivalent) or formal digital-marketing/SBCC training.

A minimum of ten years' post-qualification

in marketing, brand management or commercial roles, including at least three years at managerial level, with proven private-sector or revenue-driven

(client acquisition, sales or service targets in a competitive market) and a demonstrable record of marketing activity that delivered measurable revenue and client growth.

in direct-to-consumer brand marketing (developing or evaluating brand concepts and turning them into integrated campaigns);

designing and delivering SBCC or health-promotion programmes, including community engagement for youth and underserved audiences;

building and running digital campaigns (social, search, content, messaging) using analytics to optimise performance;

planning and buying media (radio, TV, print, digital) in Ghana or a comparable market;

managing marketing budgets, agencies and vendors and reporting on return on investment; and

managing and developing a team.

Desirable:

in healthcare, sexual and reproductive health, family planning or maternal-health marketing;

marketing a multi-site clinic, retail or service network;

with a Contact Centre or telemedicine channel as part of the client journey; familiarity with Ghana's health-advertising regulatory environment (FDA, GHS, HEFRA); and

within an international NGO, social enterprise or donor-funded environment.

Skills & Competencies

The role calls for strong brand strategy and strategic thinking; commercial acumen (reading channel performance and marketing P&L data to see where spend is or isn't converting to revenue); SBCC and audience insight (translating research into messaging that shifts knowledge, attitudes and health-seeking behaviour); solid data analysis, including digital and funnel metrics; media planning across reach, frequency and budget constraints; a strong grasp of digital marketing platforms and performance marketing for a health brand; creative, low-cost problem-solving; negotiation and relationship management with vendors, agencies and partners; excellent written and verbal English communication with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders (working knowledge of Ghanaian languages is a plus); strong planning and organisational skills across multiple concurrent projects; the ability to build relationships and influence without authority across Centres, Contact Centre, Medical, Finance and Programmes; and leadership and coaching skills to develop the marketing team.

What We're Looking For

MSI Ghana is after someone genuinely passionate about improving women's health and expanding access to reproductive choice: a strong, entrepreneurial self-starter who builds a collaborative, high-performing team culture, is comfortable constructively challenging the status quo, enjoys mentoring others, stays intellectually curious about the links between SRHR and broader social issues, and is resilient and adaptable in a fast-changing environment - all grounded in a genuine understanding of, and empathy for, client needs and the barriers clients face.
