Ensure farming activities are carried out according to the production schedule. Staff Management Supervise farm workers and assign daily duties. Monitor attendance, performance, discipline, and productivity. Train workers on proper farming practices, safety, and equipment use. Digital Farm Management Use digital tools and farm-management software to record and monitor farm activities. Maintain accurate digital records of planting, harvesting, livestock, inputs, sales, and expenses. Monitor farm performance using data and reports. Use technology such as GPS, sensors, automated irrigation, drones, or other systems where available. Crop/Livestock Monitoring Monitor crop growth, soil conditions, irrigation, pests, diseases, and harvesting. Where applicable, monitor livestock health, feeding, breeding, and production. Identify problems early and take appropriate corrective action. Budget & Inventory Prepare and monitor farm budgets. Control expenditure and minimize unnecessary costs. Monitor stocks of seeds, fertilizers, chemicals, animal feed, tools, and other supplies. Keep accurate inventory records. Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and distributors. Help develop strategies to increase farm revenue and profitability. Maintenance Ensure proper maintenance of farm machinery, vehicles, irrigation systems, buildings, and digital equipment. Report equipment failures and arrange repairs promptly.
