For this Finance Officer position, the work is expected to centre on the ability to oversee administration of the college's financial affairs and supervise accounting officers. Applicants should also be ready to keep clear records, communicate updates properly and work within the standards set by Atebubu College of Education.
About the Role
The position requires someone who can take instructions clearly, follow through on agreed actions and provide useful updates when work is completed or when an issue needs attention. A strong candidate should bring master's degree in a relevant subject area with professional accounting qualification or membership, together with the discipline to manage daily tasks, meet deadlines and ask for clarification when
or comparable grade in a similar institution for at least four years.
Recognised professional accountancy membership with at least four years of post-qualification experience.
Strong analytical, supervisory, IT, accounting software, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and implement policies on accounting and financial control.
Working Style
Plan daily work carefully and manage competing priorities without losing sight of quality.
Maintain accurate notes, reports, files or system records so that work can be reviewed and followed up properly.
