- Yobsons Micro Credit is recruiting a Head of Risk to build and maintain the enterprise risk management framework of a credit-focused institution, with direct reporting access to the Board Risk Committee.
- Key
Responsibilities
- Develop and refresh the enterprise risk management framework and Board-approved risk appetite statement.
- Own credit-risk policy, underwriting standards, concentration limits and delinquency escalation triggers.
- Conduct formal risk assessments for new products, channels and partnerships before launch.
- Jointly oversee expected credit loss methodology and portfolio provisioning.
- Monitor funding concentration, liquidity risk, facility-renewal risk and contingency funding scenarios.
- Run stress testing, portfolio reviews and reverse stress tests for Board Risk Committee reporting.
- Maintain operational and fraud-risk frameworks and support AML/CFT risk oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
- Recognised risk-management certification such as FRM, PRM or a GARP-accredited equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Minimum ten to twelve years' risk management
Experience
- in banking or financial services.
- At least four to five years in a senior risk leadership role within a bank, microfinance bank, savings and loans company or NBFI.
- Strong credit-risk analytics, IFRS modelling, stress testing and regulatory-limit monitoring skills.
