The successful candidate will assist in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, conducting inspections, supporting incident investigations, and coordinating safety training and awareness initiatives. Responsibilities
Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Support the implementation and monitoring of the organisation's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices. Assist in carrying out risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety audits. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions. Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices. Deliver or coordinate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and employee safety awareness programmes. Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, and compliance documentation. Conduct fire safety inspections and assist in emergency preparedness drills and evacuation exercises. Monitor housekeeping standards to ensure work areas remain clean and safe. Support environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and pollution prevention where applicable. Liaise with supervisors and employees to resolve safety concerns and promote continuous improvement. Participate in internal and external HSE audits and assist with implementing audit recommendations. Monitor contractor compliance with site safety
