About the Role
Zonda Tec Ghana Limited assembles and sells light and heavy-duty commercial vehicles - including tipper trucks and trailers - for Ghana's construction, mining and logistics sectors. The Dzorwulu branch is hiring an experienced, safety-focused Heavy Duty Driver to operate its tipper trucks and trailers on deliveries, customer test drives and day-to-day branch operations.
Behind the Wheel
Operate manual-transmission, multi-axle tipper trucks and trailers safely across urban roads, highways and off-road construction or mining sites.
Run customer test drives, demonstrating braking, load stability and the tipping mechanism.
Deliver assembled vehicles from the Tema plant to the Dzorwulu showroom or straight to customers nationwide.
Manoeuvre confidently in tight spaces such as workshops, loading bays and construction sites.
Vehicle & Load Safety
Carry out daily checks - engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, tyre pressure, brakes, lights and trailer coupling systems - and flag defects or damage to the workshop team right away.
Supervise loading so weight stays within the vehicle's Gross Vehicle Weight limit, and secure loads properly with tarpaulins, chains and binders.
Operate the hydraulic tipping mechanism only on level ground, clear of overhead cables and soft edges.
Follow Ghana's road traffic laws, axle-load limits and the company's own safety policies at all times, and report any accidents, near-misses or violations immediately.
Documentation & Professionalism
Keep accurate logbooks covering trips, fuel use, mileage and delivery notes, collect customer signatures on delivery or test-drive, and represent Zonda Tec Ghana Ltd. professionally in every customer interaction.
What You'll Need
At least a WASSCE certificate; technical training in heavy vehicle mechanics is a plus.
A valid Ghanaian driver's licence with the F endorsement.
Five to ten years'
driving tipper trucks and/or trailers (dump trucks, low-bed or flatbed trailers).
Working knowledge of hydraulic tipping systems, air brakes, manual multi-speed transmissions and trailer coupling/uncoupling.
Strong familiarity with Greater Accra roads, especially the Tema industrial zone, Dzorwulu and routes into the Eastern and Ashanti regions.
