Job Purpose

The HR Officer provides day-to-day HR support and ensures the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee-related processes, including recruitment and onboarding, employee records, attendance and leave, performance management, employee relations, payroll inputs, training, and HR reporting. The position serves as a first point of contact for routine employee and HR matters and supports management in maintaining a productive, compliant, and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate approved recruitment processes, including advertising, screening, interviews, references, and recruitment documentation.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers and provide vacancy updates.
  • Coordinate onboarding, induction, employee documentation, and probation reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Update employee information, movements, promotions, confirmations, transfers, and exits in approved HR systems, including Odoo.
  • Prepare HR letters, memos, reports, and other documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, absenteeism, and leave records.
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll inputs covering new hires, exits, salary changes, allowances, deductions, and other employee changes.
  • Support the implementation of performance management processes and SMART goals/KPIs in Odoo.
  • Provide first-line support on employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Assist with disciplinary processes, investigations, queries, warnings, and case documentation.
  • Coordinate approved training and maintain training records.
  • Prepare regular reports on headcount, recruitment, turnover, attendance, leave, training, performance, and employee relations.
  • Support workforce planning, HR audits, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management.
  • 2-4 years' relevant HR experience.
  • in a hospitality environment is an advantage.
  • with HRIS/ERP systems; Odoo
  • is an advantage.
  • Professional HR qualification or membership of a recognised HR body is an advantage.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of HR practices and employee relations.
  • Strong organisation, documentation, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
