Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance on forklifts in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective components, including brakes, steering systems, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, batteries, motors, and other related parts. Inspect forklifts to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and operational requirements. Conduct operational and performance tests after repairs to verify that equipment is functioning properly. Inspect, adjust, and service tires, chains, bearings, and other moving components to ensure safe and efficient operation. Accurately record all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts used in maintenance logs or computerized maintenance systems. Recommend or order replacement parts and assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts and consumables. Ensure all tools, workshop equipment, and diagnostic instruments are properly maintained and kept in good working condition. Comply with all workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures while carrying out maintenance activities. Provide guidance to forklift operators on proper equipment operation, daily inspections, and basic preventive maintenance practices. Job Requirement High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
