- PATH is recruiting an Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor for its Ghana, Accra Project Office. The role supports disease surveillance strengthening, data use, partner coordination and technical assistance for public-health programmes in Ghana.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance for infectious disease surveillance activities, including planning, implementation and quality improvement.
- Support surveillance data review, interpretation and use for decision-making by programme teams and public-health partners.
- Coordinate with government, donor, health-facility and implementation partners to strengthen surveillance systems and reporting practices.
- Contribute to workplans, technical tools, trainings, supervision plans, learning products and programme documentation.
- Identify operational gaps and recommend practical actions to improve timeliness, completeness and quality of surveillance information.
- Prepare technical updates, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Advanced
Experience
- in public health, epidemiology, infectious disease surveillance, health systems strengthening or a closely related field.
- supporting surveillance, monitoring, reporting or data-use activities in Ghana or comparable health-system settings.
- Strong ability to work with government counterparts, donor-funded programmes and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Good analytical, facilitation, documentation and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Ability to translate technical evidence into practical programme recommendations.
