Job Description
The Automation Ghana Group (TAGG) is looking for an IT Officer to ensure the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of the organisation's IT systems and infrastructure. The role reports to the IT Manager, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Chief Technical Officer.
Key
Responsibilities
- Offer general IT support to all departments of the group.
- Administer the entire IT setup, including backups and security.
- Provide advice on improving the company's IT setup.
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs and prioritise multiple open cases.
- Test and evaluate new technology and conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
Requirements
- A solid IT/Computer Science background or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of two years' relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT applications.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced technology environment.
