A very reputable media organisation is seeking to recruit two highly creative Graphic Designers with strong motion graphics skills to join the marketing department. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating compelling, world-class visual content for the organisation's television, radio, digital, events and brand platforms
Key Accountabilities
(Includes) •Designing high-quality adverts, promos and marketing communication materials for Media General's stations, shows, events and campaigns •Creating motion graphics, animated screen visuals, title sequences, lower thirds, transitions, show openers and other broadcast design elements •Developing show montages, event visuals, social media assets, digital campaign materials and on-air promotional graphics •Interpreting creative briefs and translating them into strong visual concepts that meet the needs of the marketing department and internal clients •Creating world-class visual identities for programmes, special products, events and brand campaigns •Ensuring all creative materials are visual appealing, accurate, on-brand and suitable for the relevant platform •Working closely with the marketing, production, programmes, digital and events teams to deliver creative materials on schedule •Creating graphics and motion assets for television screens, studio screens, events, presentations and digital platforms •Maintaining consistency across all Media General brands while adapting designs to suit different stations, audiences and platforms •Using modern design tools, AI tools and motion graphics software to improve speed, creativity and quality of output •Researching current design, media, digital and broadcast trends to keep Media General's visual output fresh, innovative and competitive •Managing multiple design assignments at the same time while meeting tight media and campaign deadlines •Reviewing all creative work carefully t ensure there are on spelling, layout, branding or technical errors before final delivery •Bringing strong creative input to the development of campaign concepts, promo ideas and visual storytelling for the group. •A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, Animation, Film, Media, Communications or a related field •A minimum of 3 years relevant
in graphic design, motion graphics, broadcast design, advertising, media, entertainment or digital content creation •A strong portfolio showing excellent graphic design, motion graphics, animation, branding and visual storytelling work •Proven ability to create high-quality designs and motion graphics from both detailed and loosely defined briefs •
working in a fast-paced media, creative agency, broadcast, entertainment or digital environment will be an advantage Technical / Behavourial Competencies •Adobe Photoshop •Adobe illustrator •Adobe After Effects •Adobe Premier Pro •Motion graphics and animation •Video editing •Broadcast graphics •Typography, layout and colour theory •Social media and digital content design •Visual branding and campaign design •AI-assisted design and editing tools •File preparation for television, digital, print, events and screen display •Highly creative, innovative and visual bold •Fast, accurate and able to work under tight deadlines •Detail-oriented, with a strong eye for spelling, layout, colour, composition and brand consistency •A good storyteller who understands how to use design and motion to capture attention •Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision •A strong team player who can collaborate with different departments •Organised and able to manage several creative assignments at the same time •Open to feedback and able to revise work quickly and professionally •Curious about new media technologies, design trends and creative tools •Committed to producing work that meets the standard of a leading media organisation •Knowledge of additional design, 3D animation or editing software will be an advantage
