The role supervises engineers, junior engineers and technicians and works with operations, metallurgy, maintenance, instrumentation and IT teams.
Key
in gold mineral processing, including at least five years in a senior electrical supervisory role with large-scale fixed-asset management exposure.
In-depth understanding of electronics, electrical systems, electrical drives and switchgear.
in high/medium-voltage switching, plant projects, energy-efficiency management, power-systems auditing and Simocode programming will be an advantage.
Strong practical knowledge of thermography, insulation-resistance testing, motor starting methods, synchronisation, fault diagnostics and VFD parameter tuning.
Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams under high-pressure operational conditions.

Responsibilities
- Lead electrical power-control system reliability, equipment controls, industrial switchgear relay configuration and VSD parameter tuning for the gold processing plant.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for plant electrical systems to improve equipment reliability, availability and operational safety.
- Prepare technical specifications and datasheets that meet engineering, statutory, regulatory and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation vendors on equipment selection, cable sizing, protection types, drawings, calculations and design reports.
- Perform root-cause analysis for electrical equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Keep technical documentation, drawings and manuals updated and accessible for maintenance and project teams.
- Work with planners to build effective maintenance schedules and ensure work orders are completed on time.
- Optimise critical spare-parts inventory and manage lead times to reduce stockouts and overstocking.
- Develop training programmes in electrical and automation disciplines for technical personnel, skilled workers and maintenance teams.
Requirements
- Recognised degree, advanced diploma or diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Minerals Commission competency certificate, at least Registered Inspection Engineer level, as stated in the source notice.
- Membership of the Ghana Institution of Engineers will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Ghana mining electrical safety requirements, including L.I. 2184, LOTO, arc flash prevention and hazardous-area classification.
- Ability to use CMMS platforms such as SAP or Pronto, maintenance KPIs, CAD software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication, supervisory, contractor-management and decision-making skills.
- Must be medically fit for the mining environment and able to work under pressure, extended hours, high-volume workloads and strict deadlines.
