- Job Summary
- Under the general direction of the operations manager, he/she will be responsible among others for operating the Mobile Harbour Crane container handling equipment.
- Major Accountabilities
- Among other duties, conduct pre-operational safety checks on the mobile harbour crane (MHC) accordance with to MPS policies and procedures and report defects.
- Operate the MHC as directed by the Supervisor and / or equipment controller to maximize terminal productivity.
- Ensure continuous operations with a hot seat changeover at shift changeover at shift changeover times.
- Actively promote safety culture and awareness at all times and ensures a safe workplace policy.
- Qualification And
Experience
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) in mechanical / Electronic Engineering or motor vehicle technician part III or its equivalent.
- Previous
- in mobile harbour crane or vessel crane operation.
- Ability to communicate using two-way radio system.
- Understanding of safety
Requirements
- for the driving og heavy vehicles within a disciplined environment.
- Current applicable driving license.
- Possess drive and able to meet strict deadlines.
