The Company is duly registered to manufacture laboratory-engineered ready-mix concrete (RMC), prefabricated concrete, and other concrete products for construction purposes. GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd is also authorized to undertake small, medium, and large-scale civil construction projects, operating both as a main contractor and subcontractor.
GBM specializes in a wide range of civil engineering and construction works, including real estate development, road construction, storm drainage systems, and gutter works. The Company delivers projects for a diverse clientele, ranging from private individual developments to large government-funded and quasi-public infrastructure projects. Job Purpose
- To lead and coordinate all RMC operational activities to ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective and timely production and delivery of concrete in accordance with approved mix designs, customer requirements, quality standards and company policies.
- KEY
Responsibilities
- • Production & Planning:
- Plan daily/weekly production, schedule confirmed orders, monitor plant output, utilization, cycle time and downtime, and ensure production follows approved mix designs.
- • Dispatch & Delivery:
- Coordinate mixer-truck allocation, delivery sequencing and site readiness; minimize waiting time, delays, excessive concrete age and unproductive fleet movement.
- • Fleet & Pump Operations:
- Manage deployment and utilization of transit mixers and concrete pumps; ensure pre-start inspections, safe operation, cleaning and availability.
- • Maintenance Coordination:
- Work with Maintenance to implement preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, reduce downtime and keep plant, trucks, pumps, loaders and support equipment serviceable.
- • Materials & Cost Control:
- Monitor cement, aggregates, admixtures, water and fuel availability/consumption; control wastage, returned concrete, fuel use, overtime and production cost per m³.
- • Quality Coordination:
- Work closely with QA/QC, enforce approved mix designs, support testing and corrective actions, and ensure production targets never override quality requirements.
- • HSE Compliance:
- Enforce PPE, safe traffic movement, safe batching/delivery/pumping practices, equipment isolation, housekeeping, spill prevention and incident reporting.
- • Customer & Team Management:
- Coordinate major pours, resolve delivery/service issues, lead operational staff, manage rosters, performance and training, and promote cross-departmental teamwork.
