  • Analyze and identify challenges and development trends of the responsible sector, proposing solutions aligned with both JICA's and Ghana's policies, strategies and plans
  • Monitor and analyze sector specific trends including government policies and initiatives, development partner (DP) coordination efforts and major multilateral/bilateral donor activities that may influence JICA's operations
  • Contribute and provide technical inputs to the development and planning process of JICA's programmes in responsible sector
  • Provide advice to management, section leaders and members on strategic direction of JICA Ghana's operations within the national government policy direction and emerging trends on country
  • Engage in project formulation, planning and monitoring and evaluation of projects
  • Coordinate, align and harmonise JICA projects with other related projects
  • Provide technical support for maximizing positive impacts of ongoing projects
  • Engage and negotiate with government counterparts of smooth implementation of projects
  • Build and maintain relationship with DPs, private sectors and other stakeholders and leverage such partnership for greater impacts
  • Manage logistical and administrative arrangements necessary for smooth implementation of projects
