Responsibilities
- Sites
- Be present for and witness mandatory material testing.
- Inspect all incoming materials delivered to site, ensuring they match the specified type and grade and possess the necessary certifications.
- Perform continuous surveillance and random inspections of work in progress to catch non-compliance before major defects occur.
- Stores Management
- Inspect all materials delivered to site for quantity, damage, and compliance with specifications.
- Inspect laydown areas and stores to confirm materials are correctly handled, stored, and protected from damage, weather, or contamination.
- Complete a weekly stock take, identifying tools or equipment in need of repair or write-off to inform the weekly report and forecast.
- Ensure the Procurement and Logistics Manager is provided with sufficient notice when plant and equipment are free to go to another site.
- Reporting
- Maintain a complete and organised set of all quality records.
- Prepare regular quality reports for management, summarising compliance status and trends.
- Quality Control
- Before site works begin, work with the Project Manager to understand the relevant project specifications and drawings.
- Monitor all works against specifications on an ongoing basis to ensure the continuing quality and accuracy of work performed.
- Work with the site supervisor to rectify defects, mistakes, errors, contamination, or variations.
- Qualification Required &
Experience
- Demonstrable commitment to the aims and objectives of the projects.
- Dynamic self-starter able to work to pre-defined targets on own initiative.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Good report writing skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- At least five years of working
- in real estate or the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
