Job Description
The
Quality Assurance Officer
is responsible for ensuring that software applications and systems meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. The role focuses on identifying quality issues, conducting software testing, documenting results, monitoring application performance, and continuously improving quality assurance processes to enhance business performance and customer satisfaction.
Key
Responsibilities
- 1. Quality Standards & Procedures
- Devise and establish the company’s quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Ensure all quality assurance test methods and processes are adhered to before deployment.
- Review customer
Requirements
and ensure established quality expectations are met.
Identify bottlenecks in quality assurance processes and recommend appropriate actions for improvement.
2. Software Testing & Quality Assurance
Evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, security requirements, and performance
of the overall system.
Define appropriate test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects.
Test software to determine whether it performs accurately and reliably according to documented
and established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.
Execute test plans and evaluate application functionality and performance before deployment.
Ensure all identified errors are properly logged, tracked, and monitored.
3. Testing Documentation & Reporting
Establish documentation procedures for application testing.
Create test reports documenting program evaluation, testing activities, identified issues, and corrections.
Maintain appropriate records of quality assurance activities and test outcomes.
4. Application Performance & Improvement
Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent the recurrence of operational problems and ensure efficient operation.
Recommend changes and improvements to applications based on testing outcomes and identified issues.
Investigate product quality issues and recommend improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
Continuously assess quality assurance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
5. Collaboration & Project Support
Collaborate with all teams to ensure consistent and effective project execution.
Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure identified quality issues are addressed before deployment.
Support continuous improvement in software quality and overall application performance.
Perform any other assigned tasks relevant to the role.
