About The Role

BURN is looking for a Quality Officer in Kumasi on a three-month contract. The role drives customer engagement, usage and debt recovery across phone, field and quality-assurance channels.

The successful candidate will maintain consistent telephone contact with customers with poor usage and arrears, conduct field visits and repossessions for non-responsive customers, perform quality checks on recovery activities and support the Quality Manager in achieving portfolio quality, recovery and usage targets.

Duties And

Responsibilities

  • Call a minimum of 120 customers per day to follow up on usage, outstanding balances and repayment requests.
  • Maintain accurate daily call logs recording customer responses, promises to pay, usage-improvement steps and reasons for non-payment.
  • Negotiate realistic repayment plans with customers in arrears in line with company policy.
  • Follow up on low usage and broken payment promises through repeat calls within agreed timelines.
  • Educate customers on usage, payment channels, due dates and consequences of continued non-payment or non-usage.
  • Prepare and submit daily call and collections summary reports to the Quality Manager.
  • Escalate suspected fraud, falsified accounts or policy breaches immediately.
  • Identify customers who require escalation, field visits or repossession and refer them to the Quality Coordinator.
  • Maintain portfolio migration below the agreed threshold and support improved product usage.
  • Field Visits
  • Conduct field visits to customers who have not responded to telephone follow-up or who have low usage and outstanding balances.
  • Complete field-visit targets on designated field days and close cases through usage improvement or repayment.
  • Verify customer location, business or residence status and asset condition during visits.
  • Negotiate and collect payments in line with approved recovery procedures.
  • Conduct authorised repossessions in line with maker-checker controls, ensuring repossessed units are handed over, tagged and tracked by logistics or sales teams.
  • Document every field-visit outcome accurately in company systems on the same day.
  • Submit daily and weekly field-visit performance reports on usage and recovery.
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Minimum of 120 outbound customer calls completed daily.
  • Achievement of weekly usage targets and recovery performance measures.
  • Completion of household-visit targets for field tasks.
  • Same-day accuracy for call logs and system updates.
