- Telecommunication infrastructure services company is seeking suitably qualified, experienced and technically competent professionals to join its Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Team.
- The successful candidates will support the operation, maintenance and restoration of rural telecommunications sites, including RAN/RF equipment, solar and DC power systems, batteries, antennas, transmission infrastructure and associated site facilities.
- We are looking for practical, safety-conscious professionals who can work independently in remote locations and respond effectively to site faults and network outages.

Job Purpose
- The RnT Technician will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of power and telecommunications infrastructure at Telecom sites.
- The role will have particular emphasis on solar PV systems, batteries, DC power systems, electrical protection, earthing and power-related telecom faults, while also providing technical support for RAN equipment and other site infrastructure.
- The successful candidate must be able to work independently in remote locations, diagnose faults systematically and restore sites within the required response time.

Responsibilities
- Power & Energy Systems
- Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot solar PV systems and associated equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot battery banks, battery management systems and charging systems.
- Inspect DC power distribution systems and associated protection devices.
- Carry out voltage, current, battery and load measurements.
- Identify and rectify power-related causes of site outages.
- Monitor battery condition, charging performance and energy availability.
- Inspect solar panels for physical damage, contamination, loose connections and abnormal performance.
- Identify defective charge controllers, converters, rectifiers and other power components.
- Perform basic AC electrical maintenance where applicable.
- Inspect electrical cables, connectors, breakers, fuses and protection devices.
- Inspect and maintain earthing, grounding, surge protection and lightning protection systems.
- Telecom Site Support
- Conduct routine inspection of BTS/RRU and associated telecom equipment.
- Check site alarms and assist with first-level fault diagnosis.
- Undertake RAN equipment maintenance and replacement.
- Check equipment power supply and identify power-related telecom alarms.
- Assist with site commissioning, integration and acceptance testing.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond to site outages and emergency maintenance requests.
- Carry out fault isolation and corrective maintenance.
- Replace defective components and equipment as authorised.
- Conduct post-repair testing to confirm restoration of service.
- Maintain site maintenance records and equipment history.
- Site & Safety
- Inspect general site condition and report structural, civil and security defects.
- Report vandalism, theft, damaged equipment and unauthorised access.
- Comply with all approved HSE, electrical safety and working-at-height procedures.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, PPE and assigned materials.
- Prepare accurate technical and maintenance reports.
- Required Qualifications &
Experience
- Minimum
- in telecommunications, electrical power, renewable energy or related infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of telecommunications site infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and power-related faults using appropriate test instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.
- Willingness to work in remote locations and travel extensively.
- Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Candidates with any of the following will have an advantage:
- Telecommunications/RAN maintenance certification.
- Working-at-height/tower-climbing training.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid Ghanaian driver's licence.
