About the Role
BRAC Ghana Savings & Loans Ltd (BGSL) is looking for competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill its Retail Relationship Officer role across the Akim-Oda, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Koforidua and Mankessim branches. The position is full-time and carries responsibility for mobilising, managing and growing the branch's deposit portfolio - part of BGSL's broader push to deepen financial inclusion, grow retail deposit volumes, strengthen branch liquidity and improve customer value through active relationship management, portfolio oversight and market engagement.
Deposit Portfolio & Sales Growth
Own the branch's deposit portfolio - demand and fixed-term deposits alike - keeping it growing, stable and consistently active.
Push toward the branch's monthly and quarterly deposit targets.
Research competitors and the local market to inform how products are marketed, priced and improved.
Run field engagements, community activations, corporate visits and referral campaigns to bring in new deposit customers.
Build and apply retention strategies that cut attrition and keep accounts active.
Cross-sell BGSL's other products to deepen each customer's relationship with the branch.
Customer Service & Relationships
Build lasting relationships with new and existing clients that translate into loyalty and repeat business.
Handle customer enquiries promptly, guiding clients on deposit products, features,

and terms.
Keep service quality high at every customer touchpoint, and lead service-recovery efforts when something goes wrong, escalating where needed.
Follow up regularly to support account activity, maturity renewals and overall customer satisfaction.
Compliance, Records & Reporting
Make sure every account opening, mandate and piece of documentation complies with KYC, AML and internal policy.
Keep portfolio data, field activity logs and customer feedback records accurate and current.
Send weekly reports to the Branch Manager and Banking Operations coordinators covering performance, pipeline, challenges and corrective steps.
Track portfolio indicators - account activity, dormancy trends, volume growth - and take on any other duties assigned by management in support of branch growth.
Safeguarding
Help build a safeguarding culture across the branch by putting BGSL's safeguarding policy into practice and acting as a source of guidance on safeguarding matters; make sure team members are properly trained and supported on safeguarding issues; and follow the safeguarding reporting procedure - and encourage others to do the same - whenever a reportable incident arises.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Solid understanding of Ghana's financial services landscape and how retail customers approach deposits.
At least two years in sales, marketing, or portfolio/relationship management within banking, microfinance or financial services.
A track record of hitting deposit-mobilisation targets, backed by strong communication, negotiation and client-engagement skills.
Self-motivated, results-driven and comfortable working in the field, with an analytical mindset and solid reporting and monitoring habits.
A team player who brings integrity, discipline and alignment with BRAC's values.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
