Job Description
The Mining Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine seeks an experienced and self-motivated individual for the position of Shift Supervisor - Production. The incumbent will use acquired expertise to ensure the safe utilisation of assigned equipment, resources, competencies and skills to meet daily planned production targets.
Key
Responsibilities
- Ensure the achievement of qualitative and quantitative output through the efficient utilisation of available resources
- Initiate cost-saving practices and productivity improvements on specially assigned projects
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement in the section
- Investigate all accidents and incidents and report on same
- Organise personnel and equipment to safely and effectively achieve daily targets
- Visit all areas of responsibility and ensure that correct work procedures are followed
- Chair daily toolbox safety meetings and report on same
- Maintain a safe and environmentally friendly working environment

- Demonstrate full understanding of topsoil and waste dump management
- Key
- as a supervisor on a surface mine (open pit operation)
