About the Role
eProcess International, Ecobank Group's technology and shared-services subsidiary based in Accra, is hiring an experienced SOC Analyst L2 for its Cybersecurity Department. This is a genuine second-line role, not basic alert triage: the analyst digs into escalated incidents, works out true root causes and drives the response through to resolution, strengthening the organisation's overall security posture. The role reports to the Security Operation Center Unit Head and runs on a 24/7 rotation of three 8-hour shifts.
What You'll Be Doing
Take escalated alerts from Level 1 analysts and dig into them properly, establishing the real root cause, scope and impact rather than just closing the ticket.
Hunt for complex, persistent threats - malware, phishing campaigns, insider activity - using SIEM platforms, EDR tooling and threat-intelligence feeds, correlating data across sources to catch patterns a single alert wouldn't reveal.
Lead incident response through containment, eradication and recovery, coordinating closely with IT, forensics and the wider Incident Response team.
Keep response playbooks and SOPs current, feeding lessons learned from real incidents back into detection rules, alerting logic and process improvements.
Act as a technical mentor to Level 1 analysts, helping build their skills and judgement over time.
Keep incident handling aligned with the organisation's policies and relevant regulatory or compliance requirements.
Technical Toolkit Expected
Hands-on incident handling - malware infections, phishing, unauthorised access investigations - and threat hunting in platforms such as Splunk, QRadar or Microsoft Sentinel, with strong command of KQL and MITRE ATT&CK.
Vulnerability assessment and remediation
(Rapid7, Qualys or similar), plus advanced log analysis across servers, endpoints and network devices.
Solid grounding in firewalls, VPNs, proxies, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection platforms (e.g. CrowdStrike, Carbon Black), with forensic and evidence-collection know-how.
Scripting or automation ability in Python or PowerShell to speed up response work, and comfort integrating threat intelligence into detection and response.
Working familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001, and regulations including GDPR, PCI-DSS and HIPAA.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or Software Engineering - or an associate degree paired with relevant certifications and experience.
A recognised security certification such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CISSP, CISM, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or CompTIA CySA+.
At least 5 years in cybersecurity, information security or IT, with real incident-response and threat-hunting
- this is a true Level 2 role.
Strong reporting skills, comfortable explaining findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Schedule & Location
On-site in Accra, working a 24/7 shift rotation of three 8-hour shifts.
