in stores, inventory, warehousing, hospitality or food-service stock control. Good numerical ability and practical knowledge of stock-counting, documentation, reconciliation and inventory-control procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
with inventory-management software is an advantage. High integrity, attention to detail, accountability and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Physical ability to stand, move and safely handle stock items during the working day. Receive, inspect and verify incoming stock against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documentation. Record all receipts, issues, returns, transfers, damages, expiries and stock adjustments accurately and promptly. Issue items only against properly approved requisitions and maintain complete supporting documentation. Organise stock by category and storage requirement and maintain accurate bin cards, inventory logs and system records. Apply FIFO and, for time-sensitive or perishable items, FEFO stock-rotation principles. Monitor stock levels, reorder points, slow-moving items, shortages, variances, damages and expiries and report exceptions immediately. Conduct routine stock counts and participate in monthly inventory exercises, reconciliations and audits. Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Operations and receiving teams to resolve delivery or documentation discrepancies. Maintain cleanliness, safe storage, restricted access and proper handling of fragile, perishable and high-value items. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports as required. Qualification and
