Its work spans entrepreneurial ecosystem consulting, venture building, and supporting SMEs in their access-to-finance journeys.
CEO Africa is a partner in the Mastercard Foundation Fund for Alumni Startups in Transition (FAST) program, which supports entrepreneurs and SMEs across Africa through access-to-finance, enterprise development, and systemic ecosystem support.
Position Summary
CEO Africa is seeking a proactive, engaging, and entrepreneurial
Trainer / Business Advisor
with existing
Experience
in online training and facilitation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the program management of the FAST program, which is entering its third year. The program is a six-month program for English-speaking, growth-stage entrepreneurs across the African continent, involving online workshops and individual advisory.
The role will also coordinate the
Export Buddy System
for the program’s alumni and support the setup and management of a
Pan-African Entrepreneurs Association
under the program.
Key
in SME development, advisory, project management, and/or entrepreneurship training/consulting.
Demonstrated ability as a trainer, coach, or consultant for SMEs.
Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required;
French is an added advantage
.
advising SMEs on compliance, governance, packaging/branding, access-to-finance, and/or certification for export.
Excellent project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, with strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to prepare reports, training modules, and policy briefs.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
A network with local and international funders, angel investors, financial institutions, and knowledge of the broader African entrepreneurship and investment landscape is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities
- Enterprise Development & Coaching
- Work as a trainer, coach, project manager, and business advisor in entrepreneurship and enterprise development activities.
- Design and deliver inclusive online and physical training programs and workshops for young entrepreneurs, SMEs, and partners.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and advisory support to entrepreneurs, enhancing business growth, compliance, governance, HR, and sales processes, and helping them build sustainable internal structures and investment readiness.
- Coordination of the Export Buddy System and Pan-African Association of Entrepreneurs (FAST Program)
- Coordinate the Export Buddy System, including matching of companies, logistics for import/export, packaging and branding advisory, and linkages with certifying bodies.
- Serve as CEO Africa’s focal point for the Pan-African Association of Entrepreneurs, managing engagement with related institutions and stakeholders.
- Facilitate value-chain integration by connecting SMEs to market opportunities and partners across Africa.
- Develop case studies, insights, and policy inputs on Pan-African trade and SME integration.
- Other Tasks
- Support development of proposals, concept notes, and communication materials and contribute to acquisition and follow-up with prospective clients and partners.
- Support venture-building activities within CEO Africa.
- Undertake other assignments aligned with CEO Africa’s evolving portfolio and strategic priorities.
