Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices. Ensure proper storage of products according to category, batch, and expiry date, applying First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) and First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles. Maintain accurate, up-to-date stock records and inventory counts using manual logs and/or inventory management software. Process and dispatch outgoing orders accurately and on time, ensuring correct quantities, products, and documentation. Conduct regular and periodic stock counts/reconciliations, and promptly investigate and report any discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and flag low stock, slow-moving, or near-expiry items to management for action. Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and food storage standards. Coordinate with the sales, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of products. Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse assistants/loaders, where applicable. Ensure proper handling of goods to minimize damage, breakages, and losses during storage and loading/offloading. Maintain accurate records of goods returned, damaged, or expired, and process them according to company procedure. Prepare and submit regular stock and warehouse activity reports to management. Ensure all warehouse equipment (pallet trucks, shelving, etc.) is properly used and maintained. Support periodic audits and ensure compliance with company inventory control policies.
