Role Details
SkyNet Express Ghana is hiring a Business Development Officer to grow revenue and expand the company's presence within assigned territories from its Kokomlemle base. The role centres on hunting for new business, running a territory sales plan, and keeping client relationships and service delivery on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a territory business-development plan built around clear revenue-growth targets, tracking forecasts and results as the plan runs.
- Go after new business directly — sourcing, qualifying and closing fresh accounts within the assigned territory.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for client accounts, keeping delivery inside agreed Service Level Agreements and clearing up service complaints as they come in.
- Keep a read on the competitive landscape through ongoing market research, feeding findings back into account and pricing decisions.
- Size up the growth potential of both new and existing accounts, and pitch additional SkyNet services where they fit a client's needs.
- Represent the company at marketing and promotional events, and coordinate with other internal teams so territory activity supports the company's wider targets.
- Turn business-development activity into weekly and monthly written reports, on top of the routine paperwork that comes with managing a territory and its accounts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
At least four years of experience in sales, marketing or business development, with a track record of hitting sales targets.
Background in the logistics or courier industry counts in a candidate's favour, though it isn't mandatory.
Valid Class B driving licence and able to drive.
