Design & Technology Institute is recruiting a Data & Insight Analyst to help turn programme, learner, project and institutional data into practical information for decision-making. The role is suited to someone who can work beyond raw spreadsheets: the analyst will need to clean data, spot patterns, explain findings clearly and support reporting that helps DTI understand performance, learning outcomes, operational progress and organisational impact.
The successful candidate will support teams that rely on evidence for planning, donor reporting, internal learning and continuous improvement. This means the work requires accuracy, curiosity and the ability to translate numbers into usable insight for colleagues who may not be data specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organise and validate data from projects, departments, learner records, surveys, monitoring tools and other internal sources.
- Analyse datasets to identify trends, gaps, risks and performance signals that can improve programme delivery and institutional planning.
- Prepare dashboards, charts, summaries and narrative reports that make evidence easier for management and project teams to use.
- Support data quality checks by identifying missing, inconsistent or unreliable records and following up with the relevant teams.
- Work with programme and operations staff to define useful indicators, reporting templates and data-collection routines.
- Contribute to project reporting, organisational learning and evaluation activities by presenting clear findings and practical recommendations.
- Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical ability with confidence using spreadsheets, data-cleaning methods and reporting tools.
- Good attention to detail and the discipline to protect data quality before drawing conclusions.
- Ability to explain findings in plain language for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in education, training, development programmes, monitoring and evaluation or institutional reporting would be useful.
- Comfort working with multiple teams and asking the right questions when data does not look complete or reliable.
