About the Role
Polytanks Ghana, part of the Mohinani Group's plastics and packaging business, is hiring a Financial Controller to lead the accounts and finance function for its manufacturing operations - accurate reporting, statutory and internal compliance, working capital management, and business partnering with plant and business-unit stakeholders to protect margins.
Accounting, Compliance & MIS
Lead core finance processes - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Fixed Asset Register - in line with local law and IFRS.
Run month-end close within strict timelines, covering reconciliations, stock entries and provisions.
Keep debtor, inventory and creditor ageing under control, and flag risks early.
Ensure timely statutory compliance (Excise, VAT, income tax and related filings) and internal audit compliance, including oversight of stock and fixed-asset verification.
Deliver accurate MIS with variance analysis, rolling monthly forecasts and the annual budgeting process, and apply BOM, wastage and material-accounting knowledge within a manufacturing ERP environment.
Business Partnering
Work closely with Business Unit Managers on Material Requirement Planning, working-capital norms and pricing decisions on raw materials, proactively flagging risks around bad debts and margin erosion.
What You Bring
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA).
7-10 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within manufacturing.
Working knowledge of IFRS and how exchange-rate volatility affects the business; African market
is a plus.
Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong analytical ability, sound understanding of manufacturing cost structures, and strong stakeholder-management and leadership skills.
