What the Pathway Involves
Starting at Salisbury District Hospital on a Band 4 contract while working toward full UK nurse registration
Completing an in-house Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) preparation programme run by the Trust's own International Practice
through supernumerary shifts on designated training wards while preparing for the OSCE
Moving onto the Band 5 pay scale once the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN is confirmed, with prior overseas NHS-equivalent
taken into account when setting the pay point
Continuing to receive support after registration, including a preceptorship programme, annual appraisals and help with revalidation
What You'll Need

Pay and Support
The starting salary is £28,392 (Band 4), rising to the Band 5 scale of £32,073 to £39,043 once the NMC PIN is issued. New arrivals receive practical pastoral support from the Trust's International Recruitment and Pastoral team, including a pre-travel call, a welcome on arrival, help opening a UK bank account, an orientation tour of Salisbury, and an ongoing peer support group for each new cohort. Transport and accommodation are provided for the first OSCE attempt.
