Reports To: Head – Decision Support and Cost Control

Purpose of the Role

The Plant Finance & Inventory Manager serves as the primary finance business partner for the Kaase Plant while maintaining full ownership of inventory integrity, controls, and reporting across both Achimota and Kumasi operations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective inventory management, strong internal controls, and financial insights that support operational decision-making and business performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliation, and reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records across all locations.
  • Lead inventory control activities, including cycle counts, annual stock takes, variance analysis, and implementing corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Manage standard costing and Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity in partnership with Operations and Supply teams to ensure accurate product costing.
  • Monitor inventory performance indicators, including stock ageing, obsolescence, inventory turns, and slow-moving stock, and recommend actions to optimize working capital.
  • Ensure robust inventory controls and compliance with company policies, financial controls, and governance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to plant leadership, providing financial analysis, insights, and decision support to drive operational performance.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly plant financial results, operational KPIs, and manufacturing variances, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
  • Lead plant budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while supporting operational improvement and capital investment initiatives through detailed financial analysis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, compliance with accounting standards, and readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, meet compliance requirements, and support strategic business objectives.
