Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of all contract works to meet production targets, coordinate engineering and operational teams, define project objectives and deliverables, and develop detailed scopes of work (SOW) in collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Financial and Cost Control:
- Manage operational budgets, control expenditures, and analyze variances. Implement cost-saving initiatives and maximize profitability without compromising safety.
- Contract Management:
- Manage client relationships to ensure that service delivery aligns with contractual obligations. Support the management of requisitions, lead technical evaluations, and validate other contractors' timesheets/invoices.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
- Champion a strong safety culture in line with Ghana's Minerals and Mining (Health, Safety and Technical) Regulations (L.I. 2182). Ensure compliance with the Minerals and Mining Act 2006 and other relevant legislation.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, and vendors. Lead project kick-off meetings, weekly production meetings, and safety reviews. Manage sub-contractors and third-party services.
- Team Leadership:
- Direct, mentor, and empower operational teams, including mining and maintenance engineers and site management. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and KPIs. Prepare accurate operational and financial reports for client and senior management, tracking performance against project plans.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee engineering quality control and assurance programs to ensure that mining deliverables meet rigorous standards and industry best practices.

- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, cost control, and scheduling.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. Ability to navigate the high-context communication style of Ghanaian government and local communities.

- Proven ability to resolve contractor disputes and community agitations without legal escalation.
