About the Role

MSI Ghana (MSI Reproductive Choices) is looking for a qualified, experienced and client-focused Sonographer to join its clinical team across the MSIG Centres in Ashaiman, Tema and Kokomlemle. The Sonographer delivers high-quality ultrasound imaging and diagnostic services to clients and reports to the Centre Manager, with a probation period of three months.

The Role

The Sonographer provides accurate ultrasound imaging and diagnostic support to clinicians, helping ensure clients receive excellent care in line with MSIG's clinical quality standards and protocols.

Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.

Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of Ghana and in good standing.

Minimum of three years' relevant working

in a reputable health facility.

Strong knowledge and practical

in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound procedures.

Computer literate, with good reporting and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, client-focused and committed to quality healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform obstetric, gynaecological, abdominal and other ultrasound examinations as required.
  • Produce accurate, timely ultrasound reports that support clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions.
  • Prepare and position clients appropriately before procedures, maintaining privacy, dignity and confidentiality throughout.
  • Work closely with clinicians and other healthcare staff to support quality service delivery.
  • Follow MSIG clinical protocols, infection prevention and control (IPC) standards and professional guidelines.
  • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of ultrasound equipment, reporting faults promptly.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of all ultrasound procedures, and take part in clinical audits and quality-improvement activities.
  • Monitor consumables and supplies needed for ultrasound services and report shortages promptly.
  • Support efficient scheduling and coordination of ultrasound appointments.
  • Provide clear explanations and reassurance to clients, maintaining professionalism and compassionate care at all times.
