Summary

To ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical stock to clients and company branches, and to provide driving and errand support for staff and management. The role supports smooth branch operations while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and proper vehicle upkeep.

Principal Duties/

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical stock to clients and company branches.
  • Ensure timely delivery as per dispatch schedule and obtain proof of delivery.
  • Support inter-branch stock transfers and emergency deliveries as required.

  • Maintain accurate delivery notes, invoices, and waybills.
  • Ensure all items delivered, tally with documentation.
  • Strictly adhere to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
  • Ensure vehicle documents (insurance, roadworthy, license) are valid and up to date.
  • Ensure daily checks of the vehicle (fuel, oil, water, tyres, brakes, lights).
  • Keep the vehicle clean, in good condition, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Promptly report any faults, accidents, or incidents and arrange for servicing/repairs.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbook - mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
  • Provide driving support for official duties, meetings, and errands for staff and management.
  • Ensure professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
  • Support branch operations and logistics activities as assigned.
  • Assist with loading and offloading of stock.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Liaise with the warehouse team for stock dispatch planning.
  • Provide timely updates on trip status, delays, or route changes.
  • Maintain good working relationships with branch staff and suppliers.

Requirements

  • 1. Valid Ghanaian driving license (Class B or higher).
  • 2. Minimum of 3 years’ professional driving experience, preferably in a distribution or logistics role.
  • 3. Ability to read delivery notes, invoices, and stock documentation.
  • 4. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fault detection.
  • 5. Good knowledge of Accra routes and Ghana road networks.
  • 6. Strong attention to safety and confidentiality.
  • 7. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 8. Ability to lift items and support loading/unloading when necessary.
